Who we are

This site is operated by Eric Oh DDS MS LLC, doing business as Sora Dentistry, 271 US Highway 46, Bldg G, Ste 109, Fairfield, NJ 07004, (973) 808-4373, hello@soradentistry.com.

What this policy covers

This policy covers our website and calls to our office. How we use and protect your dental records is covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices. Use of the site itself is governed by our Terms of Use. Questions about privacy: Dr. Eric Oh, Privacy Officer, (973) 808-4373, hello@soradentistry.com.

You cannot create an account, log in, pay bills, or post content on this site today. There is no online payment on this site; if we add one, we will update this policy first.

Information we collect

What we collect:

1. When you call to request an appointment — your name, phone number, and reason for visit.
2. When you call us — your number, and any voicemail you leave.
3. Automatically — pages visited, IP address, browser and device, referring site, and standard web-server logs.

How we use it

We use it to schedule and confirm your visit, reply to you, and run and improve the site. We keep appointment records as part of your dental record. We never sell personal information.

This site does not ask for your email address. If you give us one (for example, by emailing us or at the office), we use it only to reply and for messages about your care. We do not send marketing email.

Cookies and advertising

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not run ads that track you across other sites.

• Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, Google receives your IP address and browser information to deliver the font files. Google says the Fonts service does not set or log cookies.
• Map links. The address in our site footer and on our Contact page links to Google Maps for directions; Google’s own privacy policy applies once you open it.

Your browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals: our site does not currently respond to them.

Who we share with

• CareStack, our practice-management system, under a signed HIPAA business associate agreement.
• Providers that host the site, under contract.
• Others only when law requires, such as a court order or a request from a government authority.
• If the practice is sold or merged, information collected through this website may pass to the new owner, with notice to you. Dental records transfer only as HIPAA and New Jersey rules allow.

Outside sites (Clerri, Google Maps, and any CareCredit or Cherry application links we share with you) have their own privacy policies. The lender, not our office, decides whether to approve you. If you apply through our office, we see only whether you were approved and the approved amount, not your application details.

Retention

Appointment requests become part of your dental record and are kept at least seven years after the last entry in that record, as New Jersey requires. Server logs: our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare keeps traffic and security records for our site, which can include IP addresses, for up to 31 days. We do not turn on Cloudflare’s separate request-log storage, and we do not keep website visit logs ourselves. Cloudflare handles this information as our service provider under its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

Your choices

• Your information: We do not sell personal information. For information collected through this website, contact Dr. Eric Oh at (973) 808-4373 or hello@soradentistry.com and we will tell you what we have and delete it where we can. Appointment requests that have become part of your dental record are kept for as long as the law requires and are handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices.
• Your rights: you can ask to see, correct, or delete the website information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to opt out of any marketing use. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, or, for health information, to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Children

This website is for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 13. If your child needs an appointment, a parent or legal guardian should make the request and will be the person we contact. If you believe a child has sent us information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for information collected through this site. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your information we will notify you as required by HIPAA and New Jersey law.

New Jersey law

New Jersey's Data Privacy Act does not currently apply to a practice our size: it covers businesses that handle the personal data of 100,000 or more New Jersey residents in a year, or 25,000 or more when the business earns revenue or a discount from selling personal data, and we are well below both. Your health information is covered by HIPAA instead. We honor the choices above anyway.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top is the date the current version took effect. If we make a change that matters to you (for example, a new way we use your information), we will post a notice on the site before it takes effect. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the updated version.
