Our commitment

Getting dental care should not depend on how well you can use a website. We build and check this site so that people with disabilities can read it, move through it, and reach us. If something here gets in your way, we want to hear about it and we will help you another way.

The standard we follow

We are working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These are the guidelines most of the web uses to describe what makes a page usable for people with disabilities.

Where we stand today: partially conformant. That means most of the site meets the standard, but some parts do not yet. We are not going to tell you we are finished when we are not. The parts we know about are listed below, and we are working through them.

What we have done

• Keyboard — every link, button and menu on this site can be reached and used with the Tab key alone. The drop-down menus open with Enter or the space bar and close with Escape.
• A visible outline follows your keyboard — wherever you are on the page, there is an outline showing it.
• Skip to content — press Tab once on any page and a “Skip to content” link appears, so you do not have to tab through the whole menu every time.
• Pictures have descriptions — every photograph and diagram has text a screen reader can read out. Purely decorative shapes are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.
• Headings in order — each page has one main heading and the rest are nested properly, so you can jump around by heading.
• Readable text — we checked the color of every piece of text against its background and every one of them meets the standard for readability.
• Less motion — if your device is set to reduce motion, the background movement on the home page, the card animations and the smooth scrolling all switch off automatically.
• Zoom and small screens — the pages reflow down to a narrow phone screen and at high zoom without you having to scroll sideways.
• Plain language — we write in ordinary sentences and explain dental words the first time we use them.

What is not working well yet

Here is what we know about, in plain words, and what you can do instead.

• Some gold details are faint. The small gold arrow on the menu buttons and the gold review stars do not stand out enough against the pale background for everyone. Nothing depends on them — the menu buttons say what they are in words, and the star rating is written out as a number next to the stars.
• No outside expert has tested the site. Everything below under “How we checked” is our own review. We would rather say that plainly than imply more than we have done.

We aim to reply within 2 business days. Our office is open Monday and Wednesday 10 AM–8 PM and Tuesday 10 AM–5 PM, Eastern Time, and is closed Thursday through Sunday. If you leave a voicemail while we are closed, it alerts Dr. Oh, who will call you back as soon as he can; emails are answered when we reopen.

Anything on this site, we can do by phone. Booking an appointment, going over what a treatment involves, checking what your insurance covers, giving you directions, reading you a page — call us and we will walk through it with you. You do not have to use the website at all.

How we checked

On 2026-09-19 we reviewed every page of this site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The review was done in-house, by hand, and had two parts: reading the code of all pages, and testing pages in a browser — moving through them with the keyboard only, measuring the color contrast of the text and the outlines, and checking that the pages still work on a narrow phone screen and at high zoom. We did not use an automated scanner alone, and we have not yet commissioned an independent expert review.

We review this statement, and re-test the site, at least once a year and whenever we add something substantial — online booking, video, or a document you can download.
