Rebuild · Dental Implants

A missing tooth, replaced from the root up.

A single implant replaces the root itself — a small titanium post that supports its own crown, without involving the teeth beside it. We place them deliberately: careful imaging first, an honest conversation second.

At placement

Dental x-rays of one patient: an implant at placement, and the same implant with its final crown.

With final crown

Radiographs of one patient treated by Dr. Oh. Results vary.

How we think about a single implant

An implant replaces the missing root itself — and we recommend one only when it is genuinely the right answer for your mouth.

Your own free-standing tooth

A dental implant is a small titanium post that takes the place of a missing root and supports its own crown. The teeth on either side stay exactly as they are.

Imaging before commitments

Before we talk timelines, we take the imaging needed to see the bone and gum where the tooth is missing. Only then do we sit down for an honest go-or-no-go conversation.

Sometimes the right answer is the simpler one — a bridge, or simply waiting. If an implant is not your best option, we will say so plainly.

Healing on your schedule, not ours

The post typically integrates with your bone over several months before the final crown is fitted. Every mouth heals on its own schedule.

A crown designed to belong

Once the implant is ready, we take a digital scan — no impression putty. Dr. Oh designs the crown on screen, matching shape, shade, and bite to its neighbors.

Stands on its own root
The implant carries its own crown on its own root, so it works and cleans like a natural tooth.
Neighboring teeth stay untouched
Nothing beside the gap is drilled or reshaped to support the replacement — healthy structure stays healthy.
Bone and gum, seen in detail first
We look at your bone and gum in detail before recommending anything, so the plan rests on what is actually there.
An honest go-or-no-go conversation
If a bridge — or waiting — serves you better, that is what we will tell you. No pressure toward the bigger treatment.
Built to be maintained
We examine the implant, its crown, and the surrounding gum at every recall visit, catching small issues early.

Common questions

Who places my implant?
Dr. Eric Oh places your implant himself, here in our office, and designs and seats the crown that goes on it, so he follows your case from start to finish. He is a general dentist who has made implants a focus of his training: he is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (2025) and has completed Live Implant Training, a hands-on surgical course. That ongoing education keeps his planning and technique current with how implant dentistry is practiced today.
Does getting an implant hurt?
Typically less than people expect — we numb the area thoroughly, and most discomfort settles within a few days.
How long does it take, start to finish?
Usually several months — the post must integrate with your bone before the final crown is fitted, and that cannot be hurried.
Implant or bridge — how do we choose?
An implant stands on its own; a bridge anchors to the teeth beside the gap. Which is wiser depends on your bone, those teeth, and your priorities.
Am I a candidate?
That depends on your bone and gum health, which is why the exam and imaging come first. Many people are; some are better served another way.
How do I care for an implant?
Much like a natural tooth — brushing, cleaning between teeth, and regular recall visits, where we check it each time.
What if an implant starts giving me trouble later?
Bleeding, tenderness, or gum pulling back around an implant is worth a look, even years on. We treat that with a laser protocol called LAPIP™ — no scalpel, no sutures — and we will look at an implant whoever placed it.

Your implant, step by step

Deliberate at every stage.

STEP 01

Imaging and honest planning

We image the bone and gum where the tooth is missing, then talk through every reasonable option — implant, bridge, or waiting.

STEP 02

Placing the post

The small titanium post is placed in a single, carefully planned visit, following the imaging and the plan we agreed on together.

STEP 03

Quiet integration

Over the following months the post integrates with your bone. We check along the way and do not move on until it is ready.

STEP 04

Crown, then recall

Dr. Oh places the final crown designed from your scan. From then on, we look after it at every recall visit.
